Shields Fort Room
Relax in the country blues of this room, filled with Shields’ family heirlooms. The queen bed has a beautiful high antique headboard. It is triple sheeted and piled high with plush comfort. This room has a private bathroom with a shower/tub combination and a very pretty antique vanity sink within the room. You can gaze out the window to view the rolling hills with the gorgeous mountain background. Relax upon the comfortable bed and watch your favorite TV show or use the in-room WIFI and connect to your personal computer if duty calls, but only if you must!!
Where did the name Shields’ Fort come from?
Named for Shields’ Fort, the first settlement in this area, which was built by Sarah’s mother’s ancestors just a few miles from the inn. This pioneering family consisted of ten brothers and one sister. Be sure to see the family tree in the common area.
