Sugarland’s Bridal Suite
The sugarland’s bridal suite is the most romantic deluxe room in the main house, designed especially for honeymoon or anniversary celebrations. The over sized Jacuzzi tub sets boldly in the turret, surrounded by windows offering a beautiful view of the mountains. The floor leading to the two person Jacuzzi is beautifully decorated with precious marble tiles. The room also has its own large private bathroom with a unique cherry wooden sink/vanity and a shower/tub combination. The shiny hardwood floor throughout the room gives this room a very open, spacious feeling. This room features a beautiful cherry wooden fireplace for you to turn on and snuggle up with your loved one. It has a very comfortable triple-sheeted queen size bed piled with blankets and pretty decorative pillows. As you lay with your significant other pop in a romantic movie and enjoy as you cuddle in the comfort of your private room. If you absolutely must, bring along your computer or personal tablet and make use of the in-room WIFI. An outside door leads to a shared balcony with the same awe-inspiring view of the mountains beyond the manicured grounds.
Where did the name “Sugarlands” come from?
The name Sugarlands may make you think of a sweet place—however, it was one of the original settlements in the Smoky Mountains. It was named after the sugar maple trees that grow there. Norman’s mother lived there as a little girl. The name is now used for the national park’s main visitor’s center, a great place to stop for information on the Great Smoky Mountains.
